Pet Peeves

Since I can't think of much to say today, I'll just make a list of my latest pet peeves. let me know if you can relate...

1. Slow walkers in the halls. If you don't mind, I'd like to get to class within the next year or so.
2. People who don't hold the door for others. Yup.
3. Dog walkers who don't pick up their dog's business. Sidewalks are not bathrooms last time I checked.
4. That pins and needles feeling you get when your limb falls asleep.
And that's just the beginning!

We Got Snow!

No, not the kind that accumulates on the ground, causes slush and annoyances, and falls from the sky. The kind that accumulates in a cup, causes flavor parties in your mouth, makes you happy, and falls from a machine! You guessed it, we got snow cones! This weekend, while out shopping for a new spring wardrobe, we got a snow cone machine! Who knew shaved ice and artificial flavoring could taste so good? The only flavor we currently have is red cherry, but blue raspberry is soon to come! The snow cones are actually delicious, and I can't wait for summer to come so we can eat them on the porch on a hot day. But there's another reason I can't wait for summer to come! I got a whole new wardrobe! The cutest tops, and a few bottoms! Then we did a little spring cleaning of my closet, and now it's spick and span. I can't wait to wear some new clothes tomorrow! Psyched for spring! By the way, this is my 50th post. I guess I wanted to do something wild, special, and amazing. But I didn't. Isn't this enough for you people?

Go have a snow cone.

Old School

Remember elementary school? I know I do.Our gym teachers aren't the most sympathetic when it comes to injuries in class. Here's an excerpt from a conversation that could have very well happened to me:

STUDENT: "I got hit with a baseball in the eye!"
TEACHER (Not even looking): "Go get a drink,"

This was the thing that happened to all of us. With each injury, the magical cure was a drink from the rusty water fountain in the front hall. You see, gym teachers didn't care if you were bleeding out your eyes. They just told you to go get a drink. This was the kind of thing that happened all the time. But what if you really are bleeding out the eyes? Don't fret! Just go get a drink from the magical water fountain! Thankfully, teachers now are much more conscious about injuries. But that's how it used to be.

Oh yes. The those were good old days...

It Wasn't a Joke...

Happy April everyone! I got my own joke from a friend of mine, Mark. On April fool's day, he tells me that he is going to a boarding school in England, all the way across the ocean. Now of course, I believe him, and finally after I get home from school I realize it was a joke. So the next day I go back to school, prepared to have a good laugh over it. But he insists it's not a joke. It's April 4th people, and he's still telling me he's leaving. A part of me believes him, but another part doesn't want to accept it because I know I'll miss him when he's gone. Now I'm stuck, so I guess we'll wait and see what happens!

My Hamster Died...(Sad Face)

Today I had a fever of 101 degrees, and threw up repeatedly. When I finally got better and was able to actually hold down solid food, I went upstairs to see that Cinnamon, my beloved hamster, had passed away in her sleep. You can believe that I sobbed quite a bit after that.

I really don't feel like talking right now.

R.I.P Cinnamon.

How To Set Your Dog On Fire

Heh heh! Sucker! Actually, this post has nothing to do with setting dogs on fire. I don't even have a dog! But it got your attention, didn't it? Point made.

How was your weekend? Mine was fine. Boring. I need to start using the free time in my weekends doing something other than staring at a computer screen. Maybe later...

Anyways, on the week of March 1st, I'm going on a school trip to a camping area with all my friends. We're all gonna bunk together in one dorm for 3 entire days! (Do you hear the sarcasm?) Oh BOY! 3 entire days! But seriously, I love all my friends, and I can't wait to spend time with them in the wilderness. It's a 4 hour drive there, but we're taking a coach bus, so at least it'll have a bathroom. The campus is called Trees For Tomorrow, so look it up. It's pretty cool. Lots of nature and stuff. I wish we went in the summer, that way we might see and eagle!

Speaking of eagles, the birds are back! All the birds have come back for spring, but it's still really cold here. It snowed yesterday pretty hard.

On a particularly off-topic note, I guess I'll tell you about my bus ride home the other day. I rode home with my friend, Olivia, on her bus. She lives out in the country. Today was her bus driver's last day. Her bus driver freaks me out. He's old, and has REALLY bushy eyebrows and a mustache. Everybody calls him the Lorax. (Not to his face, of course.) I stepped on the bus, handed him my note, and gave him a big smile to say, I am a polite young lady. He grinned and narrowed his eyes, and said my name, but he stretched it out so it had like, 6 syllables. Then I smiled again, and slightly freaked out, walked to my seat. I swear I could feel him watching me. What a weirdo. The Lorax, (I don't know his real name.) dropped us off eventually, and I silently thanked my lucky stars that this was his last day. No offense or anything, but he really creeped me out.

By the way, I went to Olivia's house to practice for the forensics meet. For those of you who may not know, forensics is a class where you learn a skit, perform it, and get judged at the meet. Olivia and I both one blue ribbons, so yay! In high school, you eventually work your way up to debating. We all got T-Shirts that read, "Save the drama for your llama,", which I thought was really cute.

Each time I pass the Vampire Duck, I can't help but laughing, and I think I'm starting to tick off the librarians.

Well, okay, I'm tired now, and I have other things to do, so I'm gonna say good bye.

P.S. No dogs or llamas were harmed in the typing of this post. I promise!
